The “Thought For Today” are encouraging words that the Holy Spirit gives me to encourage God’s people. I am not one who is without sin or fault but my heart is bent toward living a life that honors Jesus. I have been redeemed by His blood. He has not only healed me but I have found restoration at the foot of Jesus. I owe Jesus my life. My gift is my reasonable service.

With these thoughts, I firmly believe Hebrews 4:12 that boldly declares, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (NIV) I have staked my life on God’s word and I stand on it. My calling in the body of Christ to encourage but more importantly to be a humble and obedient servant of Jesus Christ.

I would like to thank my former pastors, Rev. A. L. Jackson, Jr. and Rev. Willie Robinson for giving me a space to use the gift that God placed in me. To my current pastor and first lady, Rev. Perry Fletcher, Sr. and DaVida Fletcher of the Greater New Friendship M.B. Church for their constant love, motivation and living a life that demonstrates what true obedience looks like.

I was born and raised in Morton, MS. I have a handsome 23 year old son, Xavier. I have loving parents, McKinley & Loreatha Kincaid, 2 wonderful sisters, Tangy & Kim and a special cousin, Kenya. My prayer is that you will not only be blessed by these words but that your life will be changed.

May God’s Blessings Consume You, Monica
