How is your mindset? Is it a struggle for you to believe that God’s word is true? Do you find yourself in a spiritual warfare in your mind? Are you wrestling with unanswered prayers? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you are in the right place to find some strength and encouragement. Did you know that there is a certain posture you should have as a Christian? The question of the day is, “Are you postured to believe?”
If we examine the Scriptures, we will find Anna who was postured to believe God. Anna was a prophetess who was a widow. Luke 2:36-37 describes her as being eighty-four years old. She lived in the temple worshipping God with fasting and prayer. Then verse 38 says, “She came along just as Simeon was talking with Mary and Joseph, and she began praising God. She talked about the child to everyone who had been waiting expectantly for God to rescue Jerusalem.” Even though many years had passed, Anna demonstrated her faith and trust in God’s ability to bring about the prophesied Messiah.
If we look at the life of Job, he was postured to believe God. Job 1:1 describes him as blameless—a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil. After much suffering and the loss of everything he had, Job was able to say in Job 42:5, “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.”
In order for you and me to be postured to believe, we must have deep roots grounded solely on Jesus and His word!
Search yourself and go deeper:
- Take an honest inventory at your life, your past trials and tribulations, and how you reacted. Were you positioned to believe in Jesus?
- How can you better position yourself not to waver in your faith?
Action Plan:
- Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to any area where you are not positioned to be believe.
- Read and focus on faith and trust scriptures.
