To co-sign means to endorse or agree with. You and I co-sign on many things like fall over winter or a sunny day verses a rainy day. Some of us even co-sign politically. We have at one time or another co-signed on lying, being deceitful, unforgiving, unloving, and lovers of ourselves. However, if we are believers in Jesus, then our lives and what we say should agree with the word of God. When we don’t agree with Jesus, we are endorsing Satan so “Don’t Co-Sign with the Enemy”.
“Don’t Co-Sign with the Enemy” and endorse ungodliness and unrighteousness. Unrighteousness refers to sinful actions, while ungodliness is sin against God. Romans chapter 1 smacks us all in the face when Paul talks about God’s anger at sin. Verses 18-19;21 says, “But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.” Then in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Paul further says, “Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
“Don’t Co-Sign with the Enemy” and endorse the world’s view and way of operating. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 tells us, “You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!”
For today’s thought, it is crucial that I give you what the Bible says. When you co-sign with God, you are saying that God is telling the truth. However, when you co-sign with Satan, you are saying that Satan is telling the truth. God does not twist our arms and make us believe Him. He allows you and I to choose Him or Satan. I encourage you to flee from everything that is not God approved so you “Don’t Co-Sign with the Enemy”.
Search yourself and go deeper:
- Are you co-signing with the enemy on any issues?
- What are they?
- Why do you choose to agree with Satan verses Jesus?
- If you find yourself co-signing with the enemy on anything, repent.
Lord Jesus!
