Hallelujah is an expression that simply means praise the Lord. Many times, we will hold our praise back from God due to our sins or because we are bound by our current situations. Some of us don’t even think about praising the Lord because we are so consumed in our own lives. But because God is God, we owe Him an “Even on Today, Hallelujah” attitude.
Despite the disappointments proclaim, “Even on Today, Hallelujah”. Psalm 40:1-3 reminds us, “I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD.”
Regardless of your unanswered desires, declare, “Even on Today, Hallelujah”. Matthew 6:33 helps us to keep God as our focus when it says, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Be sure to remember that you and I should not desire anything that will draw us away from our first love, God! Psalm 86:11 tells us, “Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.”
When you and I shift our focus on the One who is still able to do what He has promised, it should always be “Even on Today, Hallelujah”!

- What current situation has me bound that I can’t praise the Lord?
- Am I putting my trust in my problem or in the problem solver?
- Let’s pray…. Most Gracious, Heavenly Father, it is difficult for me to praise you when I am in pain, confused, or when my heart is breaking. Lord, forgive me because I know that you deserve my praise regardless of my situation or how I feel. Even in this moment, help me to surrender my burdens to you. Renew a right spirit within me. I am depending on you to create in me a new heart! Teach me how to praise you in any circumstance. Help me to trust you in every area of my life. Lord, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
