Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” When you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, you invertedly told Him, “For My Good, but for His Glory”. There are things that will happen in your life that are beyond your control. Death will come. Relationships will end. Misunderstandings will occur. However, regardless of the situation that you will face, you and I must trust God and His Word.
Although we will face some hurtful circumstances, go through tough experiences, and some disappointing seasons, it will work out for our good. Jesus is a perfect example of hard situations. From being misunderstood by the religious leaders to doubts that He was the Messiah, Jesus knew all of the situations He encountered were for God’s glory. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 26:39, “He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
Even when life hurts, our posture can still be bent towards trusting Jesus because it will work out for your good but for God’s glory!
