It is foolish of us to believe that our human talents and abilities will be sufficient to get us through life. No human being can be relied upon as our ultimate source. However, from Genesis to Revelation the only true and living God has proven Himself to be Lord, King, and Ruler over everything.

     God is our source for eternal life. For the Bible says in 1 John chapter 5 verses 12 and 13, “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.”

     God is our source for peace because Paul reminds us in Ephesians 2:14, “For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.” So, we can be encouraged and have faith that peace will come to us because Romans 15:13 tells us, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

     It is an undeniable fact that each of us has encountered failure after failure after failure trying to do things our way. I encourage you to seek help in Jesus who has never been defeated.
