The Thought For Today

Encouraging You Through God's Word

What is a game changer? A game changer is defined as a person or thing that dramatically changes the course, strategy, or character of something. If you are a believer in The Trinity (God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit) which represents one but with different functions, you have the immerse confidence in knowing that whatever your situation is, “He’s the Game Changer”.

Why is He a game changer?

  1. Your circumstances do not bind Him. He is not restricted to move just because you are in a bad situation. Remember that Psalm 115:3 says, “Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes.” You and I simply must put our trust in a trustworthy God!
  2. He has never failed. It is easy for us to equate the inability of our situation to change with God’s character thinking he has failed. But Paul in Romans 3:3-4 talks about the faithfulness of God. He says, “True, some of them (Jews) were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful? Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.’”
  3. He has all power. Our enemy, Satan, wants you and me to think that because our circumstances remain the same, Jesus does not have any power to change them. Think about this fact: Maybe Jesus does not want to change your circumstances, but he wants to change you while you are in your circumstances! Matthew 28:18 says, “Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.’”

On today, never forget that there is nothing too hard for Jesus because “He’s the Game Changer”.

“He’s the Game Changer” Prayer: Most Gracious Heavenly Father, even in this, I say thank you. You are more powerful and capable of anything that my limited mind can ever think or imagine. I will believe you to be HUGE in my life! Jesus, I have not always trusted you. I have not always been faithful. I tend to take matters in my own hands. Lord, I acknowledge that whenever I go my own way, it is a sin because I am neither trusting you to fight my battles nor am I waiting on you. Lord, help me to see with your eyes. Shift my perspective from my opinion to your word. When I am overwhelmed or discouraged about my situation, give me peace to rest and the confidence and strength to trust in your word because YOU ARE THE GAME CHANGER! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
