It’s one thing to not know if you have a problem with something. However, it’s a game changer when the Holy Spirit reveals to us that we are not living or portraying Christ like we should. For today’s thought, we will use the word die to mean to become indifferent to, or to cease to be under the power of; as, to die to sin. You see, when the Holy Spirit reveals our issues to us, we must respond not only with humility and surrender, but we should agree with Him and say, “I Need to Die to That”!
What is your “that” which needs to die? Do you need to die to your flesh, your past, strongholds, or the insecurities that plaque you? Does your way of thinking hold you back from trusting in God? Hebrews 12:1 reminds us to strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
Our desire should be to be transformed into the likeness of Jesus. Romans 12:2 says, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
When we abandon and empty our entire selves to Jesus, He will fill and saturate us with all that He is! Are you ready to die to “THAT”?
