Confidence means to have assurance or belief in yourself. This is the world’s way of believing that you can do and have what you desire. But for the believer, our faith is not of ourselves but it is in Christ Jesus. This faith is the confidence that we have in Jesus. When Christ says something in His word, it is so. He can not lie. So, as believers, we must accept, believe and go after what Christ says we have and who we are by speaking the Word of God.
Today, “If I’ve Got It Then You’ve Got It”. Well, you may ask what do I have?
You have whatever the word of God says you have and some of those things are…
PEACE– In Isaiah 26:12 it says, “Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.” If I’ve got peace then you’ve got peace!
FREEDOM– In John 8:36 Jesus says, “So if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.” If I’ve got freedom then you’ve got freedom!
SUCCESS– In Proverbs 16:3 it says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” If I’ve got success then you’ve got success!
BLESSED– In Psalm 40:4 David says, “Blessed is the man that makes the Lord his trust.” If I’m blessed then you’re blessed too!
We can no longer allow ourselves to be deceived by our feelings, what we hear or what we see. We can no longer be entangled by our past and those mistakes. For the believer, the blood of Jesus has covered every sin and mistake. God’s word has the final say so and if God says it then that means…“If I’ve Got It Then You’ve Got It!”
Search myself and go deeper prayer: Lord God, I repent of my sins that I have committed against you. Lord, I have allowed the sins of my past and maybe even today to take me hostage and render me helpless. But oh Lord, according to your word, I am not helpless. I have a mighty warrior in Jesus on my side. Touch my mind, Lord, that I will think on those things that are true, things that are lovely, things that are just and things that are of a good report. Lord, let me think on You! Anoint my ears that I will choose to listen to what your word says about me and not the lies of the enemy. Make my heart soft and not bitter so that if there is any unforgiveness in my heart I will forgive quickly. Allow me to only speak those words that come from you. I am who You say that I am. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
