Many times, when life hits us, our first instinct is to attempt to figure out how to solve the problem. We will examine, ask questions, and back track our previous decisions. As you and I grow as Christians, we must learn to surrender our battles immediately to Jesus. I love Romans 8:28 that reminds us, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” When you surrender your battles, “It’ll Drive You If You Let It”.
What do you mean, “It’ll Drive You If You Let It”? Your storms, battles, or life issues will all be used by God to draw you and me closer to Him. They can mold us into the godly man or woman He wants us to be. It is in those times, that we will clearly hear Him, trust in Him, and can testify about Him. Therefore, we need to embrace Romans 8:28!
Your life is all about Jesus! However, the enemy of your soul, Satan, desires for you to become bitter, discouraged, confused, and angry about your life issues. Satan wants to use your issues and anything opposite of God’s word to drive you away from Him. It is crucial for us to remember what Satan’s goal is. John 10:10a says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.” But then in the later part of verse 10, Jesus tells us, “My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” When you trust Jesus even in your storms, “It’ll Drive You If You Let It”.
God knows what is best for each believer so when we surrender our issues to Him, it’ll drive you and me to Jesus!
Search yourself and go deeper:
- Do I have any current issues that are driving me away from Jesus?
- If so, what are they? Pray to the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to release them into His capable hands.
- What does the Word of God say about my current situation?
- How do I think my current situation is driving me closer to Jesus?
Excellent directions to start our “drive” for this week!
