The gas prices are well known to each of us. There are so many stories out there about when to fill your tank up, how slow or fast to pump, the time of day to fill up, and the list goes on. Just like our vehicles need gas, you and I need to fill up on the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
“It’s Time For A Fill Up” on patience when you become irritated, impatient, and frustrated. Psalm 40:1 says, “I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry.” My prayer is just like David, the Lord will turn to you and to me and hear our cry.
“It’s Time For A Fill Up” on peace when you do not have a sound mind. Psalm 33:20 encourages us by saying, “We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield.” Remember, there is nothing too hard for our Lord!
“It’s Time For A Fill Up” on joy when everything you see says NO! When we shift our focus off our problems and on Jesus, Romans 15:13 will come alive. It says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
The life of a Christian is not always a walk in the park. It can be tiring. Fighting the good fight of faith is exhausting. Today, I want to remind you as I remind myself to pull over to the Jesus Refill Station because “It’s Time For A Fill Up”!
