If you are breathing, everyone has their own “THERE”. “There” represents your habits, hang-ups, your lack of faith, your issues, lack of trust, a bad temper, a bad attitude, or your impatience. You and Jesus are the only ones who truly know what your “THERE” is. But today, it is your time to say to Jesus, “I’ve Been Over ‘THERE’ Long Enough”.
Before you can move from there to the place Jesus has called you to be, you must understand that what Jesus did on the cross for us is and was sufficient; it was complete. However, what the enemy tries to do is deceive, manipulate, lie, distort, and devour the work in our lives that Christ wants to accomplish. This is why you and I must do our part and be doers of God’s word (see James 1:22).
We must stick to three important passages in order to travel from “THERE” to “HERE”:
- If you have old friends, current friends, or people from your past who may try to get you to go back to our old way of life, separate yourself. Maybe you are still struggling with those sins without those friends influencing you. Regardless of the reason, 1 Thessalonians 5:22 warns us to, “Stay away from every kind of evil.” We must say to our so call friends, ourselves, or this world, “I’ve Been Over ‘THERE’ Long Enough”.
- . However, the Word of God reminds us in 2 Corinthians 6:17, “Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the LORD. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.” Your response must be “I’ve Been Over ‘THERE’ Long Enough”.
- Finally, we must remember that God is for us. You and I are not alone. Jesus will empower us. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says, “But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.”
Today, Jesus wants us to change our location. With the help of the Holy Spirit and His unfailing power, we can take the first step of surrender and say, “I’ve Been Over ‘THERE’ Long Enough”.
