In life there are times when the devil and his imps are hitting us with all their power and might. We turn to the left there is trouble. We turn to the right there is trouble. But I am here today as a witness that Satan is a defeated foe according to the Word of God (see Colossians 2:15). However, just because Satan knows his outcome, does not mean that he stops his attacks. Therefore, we must be ready daily to fight. In this kind of fight, using your hands will not work. That my friend is the world’s way of fighting. You and I must fight our battles God’s way. We must begin each day with the armor of God. In Ephesians 6, verses 10-17, it tells us to put on the whole armor of God:
His breastplate is righteousness.
His feet is our peace which has broken down the wall of partition between us.
His shield is faith.
His belt is truth.
His helmet is the salvation that has set us free.
His sword is the spirit which is the word of God.
Because Jesus is our armor, Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (see 1 John 4:4). We must remain close to Jesus. It is time to suit up and go to battle.
Search myself and go deeper: How am I putting on my armor? Am I applying God’s word to my problem?
Action Plan: Pursue that specific armor that you need. Then pray God’s word. After that memorize scripture by covering your world with it(use sticky notes to post in different places as reminders). This action plan will help you remember that God’s word has power in any spiritual battle.
