When you and I are faced with various difficulties, it may be challenging for us to think spiritually. Sometimes when I am faced with some disturbing news or a shocking situation, my mind is in disbelief. Then worry and anxiety tries to creep in. However, when you and I come to ourselves we should quickly shift our minds to “Jesus Saw THIS Day”!
“Jesus Saw THIS Day” because nothing surprises Him. I love how Isaiah talks about God and how God responds to Him. Isaiah 46:9-10 says, “Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.”
“Jesus Saw THIS Day” because He knows everything. Proverbs 15:3 talks about how the eyes of the Lord are everywhere. 1 John 3:20 tells us that God knows everything. Then Psalm 139:4 reminds us that before a word is on our tongue, the Lord knows about it. If you and I know that He knows everything, then we should trust Him when anything happens.
When we have a made-up mind, we can trust the fact that Jesus sees us. You and I are not invisible to our God. Take comfort, rest, and know that “Jesus Saw THIS Day”!
“Jesus Saw THIS Day” Praise: Most Gracious, Heavenly Father, I thank you that you see my days! I can be confident in your word when it tells me that you see and know everything. Lord, help me to trust you when I don’t understand when bad things happen. Help me to have peace when people and situations are out of my control. Help me to seek you even more. I will put my full weight of trust in you and in your word. In your name, I pray. Amen.
