Transparency Moment! A few days ago, as I was on my computer, my eyes were immediately drawn to a particular storyline. This story was about a TV personality that I watch. This woman is on her third marriage. I began to talk to the Lord as I normally do and said, “Lord! See! She’s on her third husband and I can’t even get to my one!” SMH! Then I said, “Yeah, yeah, I know that you might not have had anything to do with bringing them together!” Still SMH! Then I was like, “Jesus! You know what I mean!” Immediately, the Spirit spoke and said these words to me, “Jesus Sees You!”
If you and I are honest and open about it, there are some desires, circumstances, and personal things in our lives that we just need to SEE that God is moving; that he is doing something. Job 34:21 reminds us, “For His eyes are upon the ways of a man, And He sees all his steps.” As I encourage you, I am encouraging myself that there is nothing that God cannot see!
The story of Hagar in Genesis 16 presents to us a woman who has been forced from her home. She finds herself in a lonely wilderness. It is in this wilderness that an angel of the Lord finds her (verse 7). See, this lets us know that God sees you wherever you are! After their conversation, Hagar is encouraged to know that the LORD heard her cry. Hagar later declares in verse 13, “You are the God who sees me.”
Like Hagar, “Jesus Sees You!” Keep seeking Him! Keep trusting in Him and His word! I don’t know if you desire to get married, have a child, need a way out of your current situation, seeking healing, or need a solution to your unanswered prayer, but know that God cannot lie and what He did for Hagar, He will do for you and for me because “JESUS SEES YOU!”
“Jesus Sees You!” Prayer: Lord, we repent if this thing or desire that we have prayed for has clouded our judgement or if it has become an idol in our lives. We call out any idols today as sin! Jesus, each of us desire something. One person’s prayer is one thing and another person’s prayer is something else. All we have is your word. Lord, help us to remain patient in the waiting! Have mercy on us when we begin to fret and become anxious. Do not allow envy to creep in our minds and hearts. Give us the strength and the reminders to focus on you! At the end of the day, our desire is your desire. Whatever it is today, Lord, do not allow our desires to consume us. Let us keep YOU first. Lord forbid if we make this desire into an idol, and we leave our first love. Show us how to see things from your perspective. Lord, have mercy on us. We thank you that like Hagar, you see us! You have heard our cry for help! We will continue to trust in you because you know what is best for each of us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
