When trials and tribulations bombard our lives, the days are long and rough, and we are just worn out, it is not the time to stop or give up. 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 encourages us by saying, “Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.” Jesus does not expect for us to run our race on our own. He wants you and me to know that with God all things are possible (see Matthew 19:26). Now is not the time to throw in the towel so keep going! I encourage you to look to Jesus to help you. Look to His word to encourage you. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” If life is weighing you down, run to your secret place that can only be found in Jesus and keep going!
