The Thought For Today

Encouraging You Through God's Word

What are you full of? Hope? Anxiety? Love? Worry? Faith? Stress? Unforgiveness? Loneliness? Doubt? Life has a way of squeezing each of us so tight with the cares of this world. You may be thinking, “Well, how can I not be worried when my daughter did not come home last night?” Maybe you are wondering, “I simply can’t trust God because of my doctor’s report.” Someone may be pondering, “I thought I was making the right choice, but I don’t see anything happening!” I want you to know that you and I should be so full, so consumed, so jammed packed with God’s Word, that the trials and tribulations in our lives will have little or no impact on us. On today, I want you to be encouraged with these words, “Leave No Room for Doubt”.

We should be so immersed in God’s Word that we “Leave No Room for Doubt”. Jesus says in Matthew 4:4 that “People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” In order for us to live victoriously Psalm 119:105 reminds us, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” We cannot pick up God’s Word and read it one time. No! Psalm 1:2 instructs us to meditate on the Word of God day and night. So, if you desire the “Leave No Room for Doubt”, then stay in God’s Word!

Our lives should be filled with memories that our current situations will “Leave No Room for Doubt”.  When you and I remember our past victories, the previous open doors, our faith and trust should be renewed in the God that can!  The ESV describes Isaiah 26:3 like this, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Our memories of our capable God should keep us at peace because we know that we serve the God that can do it again.

Finally, we must be so convinced that Jesus is able that we “Leave No Room for Doubt”. When I think about the ability of God, my mind immediately goes to 2 scriptures. The first one is found in Ephesians 3:20. It says, “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” (ESV) Then there is 2 Corinthians 9:8 that encourages each believer with these words, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” (ESV)

You and I will be able to handle any challenge, any news, and any disappointment once we become so focused on Jesus that we “Leave No Room for Doubt”!
