If you are inhaling and exhaling, you have some type of burdens or cares. There are moments in our lives where these issues we go through become overwhelming. They will hinder us from not serving the Lord wholeheartedly. We allow failed relationships, sickness, disputes, our past and our own thoughts to keep us from living for Jesus. But, I encourage you today to get rid of everything that stops you from serving the Lord. Whether it is doubt, get rid of it. If it is a negative perspective, get rid of it. Even if it is a relationship that is causing you more harm than good, let it go. Hebrews 12:1 tells us to lay aside every weight and sin that so easily entangles us so we can run the race that is set before us. A runner cannot run his or her race weighted down. Jesus wants you to let it go so you can live for Him.
In order to live for Christ, there are some critical decisions that you and I must make daily. It boils down to how bad do you want Jesus? Are you sick and tired of the enemy having a field day with your mind and in your situation? Are you tired of being defeated? Ask yourself are you winning the wrestling match between you and Jesus. Paul in Romans chapter 8 verses 31-39 was persuaded; he was actually convinced that Jesus was the only way to victory. Paul had been sold out to Christ because he said that nothing shall or will separate him from the love of God.
Whatever it is today, if it stops you from serving the true and living God, let it go so you can live for Jesus.
Search myself and go deeper: What are my issues? What is holding me back from surrendering ______ to Jesus? Do I trust Jesus? If I don’t, why not? Am I impatient? I will take a moment and reflect on what God has done before. I will think about how He has been faithful to me before. Pray and search scriptures on the “weight” that is holding me back from living for Jesus.
