A miracle can be defined as something extraordinary, unique and is ordained by God. Grace is God himself and his grace is His unmerited favor. For in John 1:17 it says, “For the law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” Have you ever needed a miracle in your life? Did it seem as though you would never get your prayers answered? Have you ever asked the Lord, “Where are you?”
Think about Job. In Job 1:1, he is described as a perfect and upright man one who feared God and avoided evil. One day, the bible tells us that Satan was roaming in the Earth. God asked Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job?” God knew then that miracles still flowed from grace.
Even though Satan was allowed to destroy all Job’s animals and servants, he remained faithful. Even though God allowed Satan to cause sickness to come upon Job’s body, Job knew even in this that miracles still flowed from grace. When Job’s wife and friends questioned him and tried to make him question his God, Job knew miracles still flowed from grace. Yet when Satan was allowed to kill Job’s sons and daughters in Job 1:18-19, he still remained steadfast thinking that miracles still flowed from grace. His trust in God never waivered. Why? Job believed God; he had history with God! In the end, Job had victory. Job 42:10 and 12 explains this so beautifully, “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning.”
Remember that God will honor a faithful and obedient servant. God will never owe you anything because miracles still flow from grace.
Search yourself and go deeper: Do I have history with God? Think about the miracles that He has performed in my life. My life is a miracle. I am a miracle. Today may not be perfect but I will choose to give God praise for the miracles that still flow from grace.
