The Thought For Today

Encouraging You Through God's Word

For years, I searched for love in all the wrong places, believing that the affection of men could fill the emptiness inside me. I gave my heart away, hoping. praying to find security, yet time and again, I was left broken and longing. But in my wandering, Jesus never stopped pursuing me. Just as He came to seek and save the lost according to Luke 19:10, He called my name, drew me into His grace, and revealed that only His love could satisfy my soul. No matter how far I strayed, His relentless love chased after me—not with condemnation, but with arms wide open, ready to restore and redeem.

I thank God on today that God’s love is never passive; it is an unyielding force that reaches into the deepest darkness to bring us home. Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Even when we run, His mercy pursues us. Like the father of the prodigal son, He is always watching, ready to welcome us back with joy (“So he set out and came to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.” Luke 15:20).

Here’s today praise report: God’s love isn’t based on your perfection, but on His perfect grace. No distance is too great. I’m a living witness that no past too broken—His love is relentless, and He will never stop drawing you to Himself.
