Webster defines faith as an unquestioning belief in God; to have a complete trust or confidence in. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”
Having faith should be the foundation of every Christian. Why is faith the foundation? Because in Hebrews 11:6 it says, “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”
God has equipped each believer with a measure of faith. This measure of faith is enough! Romans 12:1-3 reminds us that we are not to think of ourselves so highly and forget the fact that God has given us our faith to use for Him. Therefore, my faith is not your faith. You can handle certain trials and tribulations that I am not equipped to face. According to God’s Word, He expects us to trust Him. When we look at God’s track record, from Genesis to Revelation, He has proven that He has never lost!
Think about your current situation. All that is required of you is to take God at His Word. Because God is fully committed to His plans, we can place the full weight of our confidence in His hands.
