What is raging in you? Are you conflicted about the status of a relationship? Are you brokenhearted about the loss of a loved one? Is your spirit irritated because circumstances in your life have not changed? Have you not forgiven someone from your past? Today is about you. Today is about me. Whatever is concerning you is personal to your situation. You must decide if you will, “Shift Your Focus”!
The King James Version definition of the word “war” when used as a noun means to perplex, embroil, or disturb. It refers to an internal conflict. Whereas the word “peace” means a state of quiet or tranquility, freedom from disturbance or agitation. When there is conflict in your mind or in your life, you and I must shift our focus to the Mighty One! He is full of peace. Jesus himself said in John 16:33, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
When you and I are faced with worry versus trust, which side do you stand on? When we are worrying about our child, our job, maybe our parents’ health, and we are consumed with the troubles of this world, you and I must shift our focus to the Mighty One! He is our trust. A familiar scripture in Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
At the end of the day, each of us has a choice to make. Either we will focus on our problems, or we will focus on the Problem Solver! Jesus is the Mighty One! As you worship Him today, allow the Spirit to shift your focus to Jesus because His faithfulness is tried and proven.
