Today, we can no longer think the devil has no power, no control or no influence in our lives. However, it is all limited power. We can not underestimate the devil. In Genesis 3:1, he is described as being crafty or cunning; there are several things that the devil can do.
Satan can trick or fool you. In 2 Corinthians 2:14 Paul reminds us, “But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”
Satan can and will use people, situations and our circumstances to try and defeat us or for us to give up. The enemy is well aware that IF WE KEEP THE FAITH AND BELIEVE JESUS AND HIS WORD ABOVE WHAT WE SEE, HEAR, OR HOW WE FEEL, his tactics will not work. For the word of God declares in Isaiah 54:17, “‘No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,’ declares the LORD.” And Isaiah 59:19 proclaims, “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.”
Mercy is described as having compassion or leniency on someone. Psalms 103:8 says, “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.” Even though the devil can do many things, the main reason he can’t stop mercy is because he can’t stop Jesus!
Whatever is going on in your life today, draw closer to Jesus because “The Devil Can’t Stop Mercy”!
