Take a moment to think about your life. Yes, the good, the bad, and the ugly! Many times, we allow the enemy of our souls, Satan, to blind us from the goodness of God. We tend to focus on the bad and the ugly situations of our lives. Our time is winding down. “The Least I Can Do” is honor the man who gave his life for me.
“The Least I Can Do” is serve Him. What does serving Jesus look like? Romans 12 gives us a small picture of service to God. In verses 6-8, it tells us how to serve Him with our gifts. It says, “In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So, if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.” The least you and I can do is love. Verses 9-10 reminds us, “Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other.” Then verse 11 tells us how we are to serve the Lord. It says, “Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.” Serving Jesus will lead us to serve others.
When you and I realize that our lives are not about us, we will have a “The Least I Can Do” mindset and truly surrender every part of our lives to Jesus!
