In every season of life, our ultimate goal should be to remain faithful to Jesus. It’s easy to get caught up in pleasing people, pursuing success, going with the flow or following worldly desires, but true faithfulness lies in being steadfast in our relationship with Christ. No, we will not dot every “I” or cross every “T” but if we would apply Matthew 6:33 to our lives we will be able to honor Jesus above all else, even when others don’t understand our choices or actions. (“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33)
Remaining faithful to Jesus often comes with a cost. There will be times when following Him means losing relationships, status, or even material things. Luke 9:23 reminds us of this sacrifice: “And He was saying to them all, ‘If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.’” The journey of faith isn’t always easy, and there will be moments of isolation, hurt, and tears. Yet, in these moments, we can take comfort in Hebrews 13:5, which assures us, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.”
Though faithfulness to Jesus will bring trials, the reward is far greater. In the end, when we stand before Him, we will hear the words Matthew 25:21 promises: “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your master.’”
No matter the cost, the peace and eternal joy of being faithful to Jesus will far outweigh the temporary struggles. So, keep pressing forward with unshakable faith—your faithfulness to Jesus will never go unnoticed by Him.
