How many of you have had a pity-party? A “pity-party” is when you’re down on yourself. You are discouraged about your situation and you are negative about EVERYTHING! When you are in this state of pity, it is a trick of Satan to sift you. Satan wants to make you doubt your faith in God. His aim is to make you doubt what God can do for you. When your situation looks gloomy and you are feeling discouraged, you must stand on the word of God. In Psalms 84:11, David reminds us, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” So when Satan tries to defeat you in your mind immediately declare the word of God.
When your eyes say no, the Spirit of God says Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” Declare this word and stand on it. When you are facing situations in life and what you see says no, there is no way, Jesus says Matthew 19:26, “With men this is impossible but with God all things are possible.”
Lastly, you must allow Jesus and the Holy Spirit to transform your mind and your way of thinking. We must change our perspective and see with the eyes of Christ. You and I must declare and expect the excellency of God to be performed in our lives. On today, I encourage you to stay in line with the word of God and do not be moved by what you see.
Search myself and go deeper: What am I looking at on today that is negative? What do I see that is telling me “No”? I will find scriptures in the word of God on what I am facing. I will pray and ask God to reveal not only reveal scriptures to me but His will.
