Did you know appearances can be deceiving? Think about it….a man walks into a luxury car dealership in worn-out clothes. The salespeople dismissed him, assuming he couldn’t afford anything. What they didn’t know was that he was a millionaire, ready to buy a car on the spot. His appearance didn’t match his true worth—what’s on the outside isn’t always what’s inside.
Many people think they can impress God the same way—by looking religious on the outside. They say they love God, they go to church, they do good deeds, but do they truly know Jesus? Appearances won’t matter in eternity. Galatians 6:7-8 reminds us—we reap what we sow. You can fool people, but not God. He sees all and knows who truly belongs to Him. You can’t fake your way into heaven.
In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus warns that not everyone who calls Him “Lord” will enter heaven. Many will point to their religious deeds—prophesying, casting out demons, and performing miracles—but Jesus will say, “I never knew you.” True salvation isn’t about appearances but a real relationship with Jesus and doing God’s will. Many will stand before Him, expecting to enter, only to be turned away because they were pretenders. They had religion but no relationship. Knowing about God isn’t enough—you must surrender to Jesus. I hate to burst someone’s bubble, but JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN!
Our Encouraging Takeaway: A fake relationship with God won’t get you into heaven—only truly knowing Jesus will.
