There is a saying that we have all heard, “Don’t put off for tomorrow what you can do today.”
It is the job of the enemy of your soul, Satan, to distract you. He paints false pictures of the world and the pleasures of it to entice you. Satan and his schemes are the ultimate time waster to get you not to surrender your life to Jesus. All is not lost because one of the roles of the Holy Spirit is to draw the unbeliever to Jesus. He leads, guides and chastises the believer. Because God reigns his grace on the just and the unjust, our tomorrow is right now; it is today. In Psalms Hebrews 4:7 it tells us, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
Every time you hear a sermon, your tomorrow is that day. Every moment you hear a man or woman of God speaking truth to you, your tomorrow is that day. Every time you have a Christian friend or even a stranger to speak a Godly word to you, your tomorrow is that day. But the most surreal thing is every morning you wake up, your tomorrow is that day. In Hebrews 10:31, it warns us that it is a fearful, terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
I encourage you today to give up your sinful, selfish desires and ways for a wonderful peace, joy and love that only Jesus will freely give to you. Don’t wait for a day that may never come because “Your Tomorrow Is Today”.
“Your Tomorrow Is Today” Prayer: Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins that I have committed against you. Jesus, forgive me for not doing things your way. Lord, forgive me for having other gods before You. Jesus, I need you to do a work on my mind and heart. Touch those broken places so I will not look for love in the wrong places. Strengthen me by your power and your word so that I will be obedient to you. Lord Jesus, today is my day to set things right with you. I no longer want to live like this anymore. I desire your love, your peace, your forgiveness, your newness and your life in me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
