The Thought For Today

Encouraging You Through God's Word

At times, our human limitations have led us to confine God within certain boundaries. Whenever God’s actions did not align with our preconceived notions, we found ourselves doubting Him.  We often behave in a manner similar to the serpent in the garden, questioning, “Did God really say?”. (see Genesis 3:1) Jesus reminded His disciples as well as us in Mark 11:22 to have faith in God. So, is there anything that God cannot accomplish? God told Jeremiah in chapter 32 verse 27, “I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” When you and I become followers of Christ, it is no longer about you or about me. Jeremiah reminds us in chapter 10 verse 23 as he was talking to the Lord by saying, “I know, LORD, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.” The “Completely Unlimited” God is the only one who can plan our lives, our course. Our lives are meant to bring God glory. I love how Romans chapter 4 verses 20 and 21 brings this to light. It tells us, “Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.” Abraham’s faith gloried God. Then verse 21 says, “He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.” Wow! Are you fully convinced that God is “Completely Unlimited”.

Ultimately, it is up to each individual to make a personal decision regarding their belief in the one and only true God. You must choose if you will serve Him or follow other gods. Will you have faith in the entirety of God’s Word and yes, I am talking about the Bible? Will you acknowledge that Jesus is the only way to God? Because the God I serve is “Completely Unlimited” He can be trusted.
