The Thought For Today

Encouraging You Through God's Word

I love the book of Psalm. Most of this book was written by David. It is full of praise and worship scriptures. All through Psalm, David was used mightily by the Lord. However, David endured some challenges despite being anointed. His life’s battles were used as a testimony to magnify the Lord.

On today, will you still have a “Magnify” Monday praise regardless of what you are facing? When David was on the run for his life, he testified in Psalm 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

On today, will you still have a “Magnify” Monday praise if you are brokenhearted? You are not alone. David was brokenhearted because his son, Absalom, was trying to kill him. He tried to find refuge with Abimelek and that didn’t work out for David. He too was betrayed by people who he thought he could trust. But David had confidence in the Lord when he said in Psalm 34:18, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

On today, will you still have a “Magnify” Monday praise if you have to praise the Lord all by yourself? Psalm 34:3 says, “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.” You are never alone! The angels and the 24 elders who are in heaven will magnify the Lord with you.

Be encouraged on this “Magnify” Monday and keep your eyes on Jesus.

“Magnify” Monday Praise: Most Gracious, Heavenly Father, I bow before you in worship and honor. You are King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and the only true God! I thank you that you have never left me, nor have you forsaken me. Life is hard as you are well aware. I get distracted so many times and I find myself consumed by the cares of this old world. Jesus, help me to keep my eyes on you. Strengthen me in my spirit. Help me, Lord, to honor you in every area of my life. Regardless of how I feel, what I see, or what I hear on today, I will magnify you. Jesus, you and only you are worthy of praise. In your name, I pray. Amen.
